    Every time I eat gluten, my legs break out with eczema. My back, chest and neck gets little bumps. I don't think I have celiac, but gluten seems to do this to me. I went off gluten for 6 months, then tried organic bread and the eczema and bumps came back. So, I don't know what else to do.

      even organic in the store is different than home milled. Reach out to someone on media to see if someone near you may make home milled. Good place to start is perhaps if you have amish near you

      Organic is not at all in the ballpark of fresh milled even organic flour has all its nutrients stripped out of it. It’s those nutrients your body needs. I was having night hives my dr could not figure out the cause so his answer was take this medicine after two different ones that didn’t work the third one did but I could not deal with taking a medicine for the rest of my life. I dug I researched and stumbled on to Sue Becker and her science behind the results people were having with fresh milled flour I thought what have I got to loose? My hives? I’m going for it got mill, wheat and off I went two loaves of bread later I decided to not take the medicine nothing happed that night so in my wisdom😉 I thought the medicine is just built up in my system second night no hives third night no hives Eureka! Maybe I’m on to something here so two weeks in I forgot to eat my two slices of bread since I was never a bread eater that night I woke at 3 am itching all over so I got up and was eating bread at 3:15 a.m.! It immediately calmed down and I was asleep by 4 am? I’m a believer! I baked a loaf and took it to my dr he asked how the medication was working 🤷‍♀️ not taking it! This was three months later. He asked about my hives don’t have them as long as I eat this! Asked him why it was working and he peered inside the bag and said this looks like homemade bread! Yep, I made it so tell me why it stops my night hives. He said, what did you put in it? I said I mill the wheat into flour and he stopped me! THATS IT! What’s it? He said you needed the nutrients in that wheat the vitamin e I interrupted and said but I take vitamin e and he said what you take is not the vitamin e God put in the wheat along with the other nutrients. His kids asked him why my bread tastes so much better than what they buy from the store😂😂😂😂😂😂 he gets a loaf every appointment I have. He loves it. Confessed he doesn’t always take it home same day he gets it cause he has 4 growing boys once it’s in the door he never gets anymore! ❤

    I would CRY if my Bosch mixer quit working. My Nutrilmill classic - TRUTH, is in the closet. I got stuck with one of those angry lids that would never open. Even after oiling as directed, it just refused to open for me, and then when my adults guys couldn't open it, It went on the shelf! My cousin just bought one a few weeks ago, and she has no trouble with hers. I "could" possibly buy a new bowl...But, I'm not going to spend more money to fix a product that I have only had of a couple of years. I bought a plain old hand crank mill. Yeah, old fashion, will give you a work out, at times. But, NOTHING is off limits with it. Wet, dry...Eh, I look at it as getting the arms back in shape. 😆😆

    “Back in the day” only white men had any freedom or the right to pursue liberty. So even if homesteading is a great way of life now that we had the civil war, got rid of Jim Crow, got the 19th amendment, got the civil rights act of 1965, lived through the Stonewall rebellion and the feminist movement so that not only wealthy straight white men could dream dreams that could be realized. Writing in your own name on the presidential ballot is selfish and yes, privileged. Many of us are under attack-actual, real, existential attack. And if you start a school, make sure you are teaching facts, not ridiculous nonsense. And get CERTIFIED EDUCATORS, not people who know nothing about actual science, math, literature and everything else. Eleven year old children must know how to read. It’s not okay to cheat kids out of an actual education because you prefer propaganda. It’s immoral and irresponsible.

    I could not imagine buying a milking machine for our one cow. At least, not at these prices. That's too much money to invest in something that can be done by hand. I could see something like this once you have 3-4 cows, but not one.

  • @willbass2869
    @willbass2869 Місяць тому

    I see no reason for a single cow family to have a milking machine. First this is probably a $1200 machine, right? $1200 just so you don't milk a cow for 15-20 minutes. No way! Second this machine is made in Turkey....nothing against Turks, but the fittings and all are metric and I'm betting the gasoline engine is probably not designed for the dumb ethanol gas in USA. You are vulnerable to possible "supply chain disruptions" in future. Suppose one of the hoses or valves went bad, I don't think you can do a "work around" using replacement US dairy parts because of the metric thing...might be wrong on that though. Then there is whole cleaning and sanitizing *EVERY TIME* you use it. Plus the SPECIALITY food grade cleaners & disinfectants....then, if you have "hard water" you're going to have use an acid wash to reduce pH so as to cut through the calcium build up in the "milk film" on all that tubing, the pail and all those nooks and crannies just waiting to hold bacteria. You'll spend more time cleaning this thing than if you hand milk into a pail. Remember "KISS" in all things homestead related You aren't saving time or money with this unless you have 4,5,6 cows and you sell or "herdshare" with outside people. Sorry, but if you can't hand milk a single cow because of weak hands, arthritis or whatever then you have no business messing with a 1000 pound animal...you're probably also too frail to properly use a manure fork and shovel. Just milk into a stainless steel pail, filter the milk, store in large glass bottles and immediately cool the milk. This is a misplaced homesteader pathway. You can't *buy* your way to an independent wholesome life.

    • @heelerridgefarm2366
      @heelerridgefarm2366 Місяць тому

      I could agree or at least understand your thinking, up to the last point. Just because arthritis or carpal tunnel makes it difficult to milk doesnt mean you shouldn't have a cow. Using a shovel or pitch fork is completely different than the repetitive movement for 15-20 minutes. If you are milking 2 cows for part of the year then yourself making that same movement for 30-40 minutes. Twice a day.

    • @willbass2869
      @willbass2869 Місяць тому

      @@heelerridgefarm2366 manure fork/shovel is just the easiest thing you'll have to deal with concerning a 1000 lb animal, right? It only gets worse from there. Cow "bolting" toward an open gate....while a small child innocently stands there. Can you move fast enough to prevent disaster? Manhandling an animal thru the chute and into a trailer for a badly needed trip to the vet. Large animals and frail human bodies are not a good mix. YMMV

    So I’m in Australia… there is no homesteading tsunami here… maybe a wave, yet we have 100s of 1000s of acres unused and considered useless. Because it’s so hot in the interior everybody stays on the coast, but interior land is cheap and usable if your up for hard work. Turning a desert into an oasis is not for the faint hearted. But that land is not only beautiful but fertile if you know how to homestead… the Australian people are amazing!! The government is crap!! But we are a good 10 yrs behind the USA… the best thing is if you ignore the government and its regulations there is 1000s of acres to farm here, we are so big they don’t even know where you are. The down side is the isolation , because the homesteading community is possibly only a few hundreds farms and we are spread out over 1000s of km, it’s hard to build a community of like minded people. But if your happy to do your thing Australia is your place to homestead, I consider it one of the only frontiers left in the world for homesteader who want to get off the grid and not deal with the BS. Basically we need real homesteaders with the skills to join our small community & not be scared of 100s & 100s miles of isolation 😊🇦🇺

    I am sad I wasn't able to attend....but I'm happy for those that were. Hopefully next year. Such valuable information! I loved Joel's closing speech.

    This came at the right time! The Lord provides🎉 I'm so glad you found Durenda and her gentleness and joy in raising boys is the wisdom that many of us moms have been searching for. We do need the wise elder women guiding us. Thank you both!❤
